Governance
The Henika District Library serves the residential population of the City of Wayland and Wayland Township, a total of 6,921 people. Library operations are supported by 1.5 mills collected in taxes from residents of the District Library.

The Henika District Library is a member of the Lakeland Library Cooperative which serves the greater West Michigan area. They provide a variety of services to the patrons of over 80 libraries.
We are also members of the Michigan Library Association(MLA); and the American Library Association(ALA).
