MAP provides Michigan library cardholders the opportunity to discover and learn more about participating cultural destinations, parks, campgrounds, and recreation areas in Michigan at a discounted rate. Patrons may check out one MAP pass per library card every 7 days.

Partnering Library Collections through Libby

Lakeland Library Cooperative, Midwest Collaborative for Library Services (MCLS), Suburban Library Cooperative, Great Lakes Digital Libraries (GLDL), Traverse Area District Library, White Pine Library Cooperative (Fuel Your Mind), Up North Digital Consortium, Woodlands Downloadable Library, Mideastern Michigan Library Consortium, Metro Net Library Consortium, and Download Destination are partnered to share certain digital resources. This means that all patrons will have additional digital resources available to them. Instructions for accessing these resources can be found on this page.

If you’re using a Libby app, you will need enter a new library card onto the app. This is the only way to see and borrow the titles. You will be able to see your checkouts and holds from both accounts on your Shelf. You will need to click on the Libby icon in the middle of the bottom menu to toggle back and forth between Lakeland and other partner collections. You will remain signed in on all accounts. Your checked out materials and holds will all be found in the same location.

The instructions below work the same way for Suburban Library Cooperative, Mideastern Michigan Library Consortium, Great Lakes Digital Libraries (GLDL), Traverse Area District Library, White Pine Library Cooperative (Fuel Your Mind), Up North Digital Consortium, Woodlands Downloadable Library, Metro Net Library Consortium, and Download Destination. Instead of searching for Lakeland or Midwest Collaborative, you will search for the partner collection of your choice and follow the remaining steps.

We will mention the menu icon often in these instructions. The icon can be found at the center of the bottom menu. This is the menu icon you will be looking for:
